The 15 hardest naturalisation questions — how many do you know?

If you want to be naturalised in Zürich, you sometimes have to sit a basic-knowledge test. From a practice app, Tsüri.ch got the 15 questions that Zürich residents most often answer wrong, and turned them into a quiz. Can you get 9 of them right?

To be naturalised in Zürich, you have to take a basic-knowledge test. There are some exceptions, though: anyone who attends compulsory school during the procedure, or has done so for at least five years, doesn't need to sit it. The same goes for those who completed an apprenticeship, the FMS or the Gymnasium.

The quiz data comes from the app «Swiss Naturalization Test». The app is free and was created by Vincenzo Casini to prepare for his own naturalisation test.

In the city of Zürich the test has 50 questions, 30 of which must be answered correctly.

The app offers several quiz-game formats and aims to be a place «where Swiss and future Swiss play with the same questions», Casini writes.

For him, the learning app worked: he recently passed his naturalisation test with full marks.
