Real exam — How the test works
Real exam: written test by convocation at the OCPM (in French) — no oral knowledge exam. Geneva publishes the same catalogue twice: a PDF giving only the right answers, and an online quiz that also shows the wrong options. From it, some questions come whole from the canton, options included. We adapt the others: some transcribed from the tutorial modules, where the wrong options are ours, and some where the canton expects several answers that we bundle into one. The catalogue announces more questions than it publishes: at the exam you may meet questions that are not here.
The interview
There is no oral test on knowledge in Geneva: it is checked only in writing. An integration hearing (personality enquiry) does take place, conducted by a sworn investigator from the canton or the municipality — it concerns integration and respect for fundamental rights, not a civic quiz.
