Real exam — How the test works
Real exam: written Neubürgerkurs final exam (two parts); the number of questions is not published. The catalogue is not public — papers are written course by course and draw only on the course material, which is not published either. The cantonal questions here were written by US, from the cantonal constitution, the citizenship act and the political rights act; for history and culture, where the laws are silent, from public sources (Wikipedia, CC BY-SA); the federal part comes from Zürich's official Grundkenntnistest. These are not the real exam questions. The oral interview (Oberamt/citizens' commune) is separate and assesses integration, not knowledge.

Besides the written final exam, there are personal interviews (Oberamt and citizens' commune) that assess integration, not knowledge, and are not standardised. No question list is published for these interviews.
