Real exam — How the test works
Real exam: written Staatskundetest, multiple-choice questions, on computer (EasyLMS) at the commune. We take the official catalogue unchanged — federal and Aargau questions: same questions, answers and format as the exam.
In addition to the written test, the commune (municipal council or naturalisation commission) holds a mandatory naturalisation interview. It does NOT test civic knowledge at the federal/cantonal level (that is what the written test does), but knowledge about the commune and familiarity with life in Switzerland. Not a rigid question-and-answer test; the canton provides the communes with non-binding example questions. The practice questions below are based on these.
Das Einbürgerungsgespräch (§ 22–23 KBüG) ist obligatorisch, DARF aber laut Gericht (WBE.2023.413) KEINE Bund-/Kanton-Fragen stellen — diese sind dem schriftlichen Test vorbehalten. Es prüft das Wissen auf GEMEINDE-Ebene und die Vertrautheit mit den schweizerischen Lebensverhältnissen.
