Real exam: written commune basic-knowledge test. Each commune sets its own numbers and format, no cantonal catalogue. For now, we prepare you with the basic federal questions (taken from Zürich's Grundkenntnistest) — these are not the real questions.
The interview
A personal ORAL interview before the commune's commission is «as a rule» part of the procedure and assesses integration and knowledge (including about the commune); it can even replace the written test («test or interview»). Not standardised, set by each commune, with no published catalogue or sample questions.
